Race, Safety Rules & Procedures
These procedures are to be followed prior to every race.
- Teams must register in their entirety at the Registration Centre. All paddlers must sign the race registration form then show their completed form and wristbands to registration officers.
- Teams will be given a “Canoe Check” form. They will be accompanied by a CICA volunteer to their allocated canoe. Once the safety check has been completed the signed forms must be returned to the registration Centre. Canoes are numbered for easy reference.
- A ‘checked tag’ is placed on the kiato of the canoe once it has been checked and the form signed by a crew member and CICA volunteer. CICA volunteer will return completed form to the registration desk.
